Tonight (Wednesday) the BBC’s Newsnight programme will feature a report about unsafe sex on gay porn shoots. This follows a recent scandal in the UK where several actors contracted HIV during a shoot.

Looking at the article that accompanies the programme it looks as if this could be a balanced look at the situation. Hopefully not condemning porn as a whole, just those producers who are negligent.

Rumour has it that famous porn producer drag queen Chi Chi LaRue will be interviewed live on the show by satellite link. We can only hope that Jeremy Paxman will be presenting! What a combination.

Note: it seems the report was originally scheduled for transmission on Tuesday but will be shown on Wednesday as I’ve mentioned above.

Update: the rumour was wrong. Chi Chi LaRue didn’t appear live. Part of her safer sex video was shown in the report.
