Manchester flashmob tomorrow

There will be a flashmob somewhere in Manchester city centre tomorrow lunchtime. I’m hoping to be there to shoot a video of whatever happens.

In case you don’t know, a flashmob is when a large group gather at a certain time and all begin doing something unexpected and silly. Then, after a set amount of time, they disappear just as quickly. It could be in a public space or inside a shop.

Here’s a reminder of the flashmob pillow fight that happened in Manchester’s Albert Square in December 2006.

Needless to say these events terrify the police, who are unable to stop, control them or, in many cases, even get there before they finish. Really they need to relax because it’s just a bit of fun.
