I sold my first photograph to a magazine in 1987. Since then I've had more than one thousand published for payment and have earned part of my living that way.

Prints for personal use: if you're interested in buying a print to hang on your wall at home or put in your photo album please contact me for details. Prices start at about £25 plus postage and packing, professionally printed at A4 size by a photo lab in Manchester on the highest quality archival paper.

Commercial use (businesses, publishers, broadcasters, organisations, websites): I'm always interested to talk with you and you can expect to pay a fee for one-use or other licence to publish. A credit is usually required and on the image itself if published online. Payment is within 30 days of invoice and I only supply those who agree to these terms and stick to them. This keeps down prices for everyone. I'm not particularly keen on online publication these days, due to the issue of theft and having to chase up that.

Educational: this is considered on a case-by-case basis. Images will only be provided free if your use is entirely non-commercial. Unfortunately I've been stung in the past when supposedly 'educational' material was then offered online on a 'pay-per-view' basis. Please check this before contacting me. A credit will be required.

Charities: I have my own pet charities that I support. Others are considered on a case-by-case basis. Let me have some info about your charity. Do you ever pay for photography? Do you have employees? What percentage of your income reaches the cause in the end?

I've been editing since I was a teenager, starting with Super film (remember that?) and have done it professionally. I offer a wide range of skills, love to work with people to create content and often form long lasting working relationships with them. I have a particular interest in "low budget" video for the web and social media.
