Clockface features the Manchester bees

The clock on the former Refuge Assurance building on Oxford Road, Manchester.

Despite having looked at this on many occasions over the years, I noticed the bees for the first time this week as I shot video of the demolition of the former BBC studios nearby.

The bees are a symbol of Manchester and feature on the city's coat of arms.
