    I wish the Chinese would open up their minds and realise that Tibet is not part of China. Tibet was taken by force by the evil Mao Tse-Tung and we all know that, except for the chinese who refuse to accept this. For goodness sake, Mao killed millions of his own people during the great famine and the cultural revolution – and still the chinese think he’s great. I will never understand the chinese and if they think China is so great, why are they leaving China to live here in the West? TIBET IS NOT PART OF CHINA AND THE CHINESE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE HUMAN RIGHT ABUSES. I’ve read lots of articles about the current situation in Tibet and the chinese are the ONLY ones who think it’s alright to abuse the Tibetans. The rest of the world think otherwise.

    The problem with the Chinese is that they don’t want to ‘lose face’. They would rather see Mao as a great leader, than face the fact he was one of the most evil dictators in history. He starved millions of his own people, denied anyone a right to practice religion (he liked to think he was God) and took Tibet by force.

    The Chinese will never accept the truth because, as Sara commented, they have been brain-washed by the Party. Even today, Falun Gong practitioners are being arrested for wanting to express their religion.

    CHINA – GET OUT OF TIBET. THEIR CULTURE IS DIFFERENT TO YOUR CULTURE – AND IF YOU LEFT THEM ALONE, THERE WOULD BE NO MORE RETALIATION.

    Why do the Chinese think it’s ok for them to protest, yet it’s not ok for the Tibetans to protest?

    As MA JIAN the Chinese author of ‘Beijing Coma’ wrote: “When people are denied access to their history, they lose their ability to make moral judgements. It can lead to a very dangerous situation”.
