The latest sneaky trick from British Telecom
For some time now British Telecom has charged customers on its most basic plan (Together Option One) 4.5p for evening and weekend calls of up to an hour. After sixty minutes the call continues at 1p per minute.

Manchester Pride 2007 raised just £95,000 for good causes
For a second year running, Manchester Pride has raised one of the lowest amounts in its 17 year history. Just £95,000. This is despite the highest ticket prices ever (some people paid £18) and more than 40,000 tickets sold according to a report on the LGF website.
Not enough time to pay as required
I keep getting letters that arrive many days after the date of writing stated on the letter. Sometimes the letter asks me to pay by a certain date and to allow a number of days for payment to reach them.

In May I paid £29.99 for a pair of ‘hiking boots’ from United Footwear in Oldham Street Manchester, which is in the ‘Northern Quarter’ area.
Help needed after the fire in Lever Street, Manchester on 30 April
On 30 April, just four days after I wrote about the Basement Social Centre in Manchester city centre and said what a unique and absolutely spiffing place it was, a huge fire ripped through a building to the rear of it.
