My sister was in Manchester on business and offered to treat me to a late birthday lunch on her. We went to the The Ox — a pub on Liverpool Road that I’d heard good things about. We weren’t disappointed. We had soup and then a big sandwich each. Mine was chicken breast, bacon and Ox for lunch

Another ugly new car-park

I went up to Microdirect — the computer shop — with Miss Noodle and her man. Opposite, this hideous multi-storey car-park has appeared on the corner of Upper Brook Street and Hathersage Road, as part of the ongoing development of the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
